Øvre Kjekshus is located 494 meters above sea level, so it is only a short walk to the top where you can enjoy a fantastic view of Hadeland. From Kjekshustoppen you have a 360 degree panoramic view where you can see Gaustatoppen in the distance and Synnfjell in Valdres in the opposite direction! Kjekshustoppen is a great place for sharing company visions or for gathering a party. And for the particularly interested, we have our own talented geologist in the neighborhood who is happy to give lectures and put the history into perspective so that you understand what you see in the landscape around Kjekshustoppen.
Cooking together is a nice activity and it is also fun to be able to bring some new cooking-knowledge home. Learn to cook from scratch based on the farm's ingredients, or take the challenge and make your own sausages and barbeque them on the fire at sunset!

Feel the rush of adrenalin as you set off on our Zipline at Kjekshus farm. This is an exciting and fun activity suitable for everyone.

Camp Kjekshus consists of a series of fun and exciting exercises that focus on collaboration, communication and teamwork. The tasks are suitable for everyone, regardless of age and physical level.
We divide the group into teams of approximately 8 people who will compete through an activity trail. There is a time limit for each activity. Each team has a supervisor from Fossen Friluft. After the teams have completed, we go through the tasks together and announce the winner.
Camp Kjekshus is guaranteed to bring out both laughter, some frustration and something to reflect upon. You will really be able to test yourselves!

At Øvre Kjekshus, the snow arrives early and stays well into the spring. Below the farm, there are fantastic ski trails and we prepare our own toboggan run where you can really frolic in the snow for a few hours.

What's better than gathering around the campfire on a beautiful winter's day, enjoying the view and good company? If you wish, you can make the sausages for the barbecue yourself, or we can make them for you while you go skiing or do other activities. A hot drink or soft drinks are included. Recommended for lunch, midday or sunset food.
Based on a popular Norwegian TV-show, the contestants compete in duels, in fun and challenging farm-inspired exercises such as ax throwing, sawing, tug of war and tossing milk buckets . The contest also has a knowledge-section, where participants compete by answering fun questions about farms and farming. The contestants compete one on one until there is only one winner left.
So pull up your sleeves and get ready for fun and challenging farm activities!

Shotgun shooting is an exciting and fun activity. Here, you really get to test your senses and concentration. If desired, the skeet shooting can be run as a competition in which we select a winner in the end.

If you want to stay overnight at Øvre Kjekshus, there are tents available. The tents keep the heat well, even in winter, but it is not quite like walking barefoot to bed in a hotel room. Of course, it is a Thorbjørnrud Hotel is a good alternative. The trip down takes only 20 minutes and we arrange transport.
